English Department Reading Scheme
Four pupils have, this week, become the most recent recipients of an award for reading. They are S1 pupils: Emma McCulloch, Neibh Maxwell, Allan Taylor and Shaunna Kirkpatrick and James Howie. The reading scheme has been running for several years and is designed to encourage enthusiastic interest in a variety of literary styles, from poetry, plays and prose to non-fiction material.
Pupils are led through a bronze, silver and gold award, gaining increased competence and confidence throughout the programme.
