SCHOOL SKI TRIP TO APRICA
Five schools ( Dalbeattie high school , Dumfries Academy , Castle Douglas high school , Dumfries high school and Dalry secondary school) joined ranks and 70 students set off in two coaches for the trip to Aprica in the Italian Alps. The Skiing conditions were excellent with plenty of fresh snow and after only two days of lessons all of the skiing and snow boarding groups were off the nursery slopes and exploring runs higher up in the mountains. Apart from the skiing there was also a full programme of après ski with bowling , skating , disco and quiz night to entertain the students in the evenings. The students behaviour was excellent and they were a real credit to their schools.
