meet the New House Captains...
The arrival of Mrs. Bain as head teacher has prompted the revision of the previous pupil council system. It is hoped that the new structure will offer better representation of the pupils, as well as encouraging healthy competition between the four houses!
There will be two pupils from each house, and then each year, chosen to be a house representative. This is done democratically as the pupils will choose their representative. Each house will therefore have its own council.
In the sixth year, two pupils have the opportunity to be interviewed for the position of “school representative”. This is the same as being Head Boy and Head Girl, however as two girls were selected this year, the name had to be changed.
The school representatives, along with the eight S6 house representatives form a steering group, which under the charge of Mrs. Bain, will become successful in raising issues within the school, and bringing about change. Pictured are the new House captains for Maxwell, Bruce, Wallace and Douglas.
