The Project Vision

To create a flexible, modern, inclusive and sustainable facility for the community of Dalbeattie, which will support attainment, achievement and participation.

New School Progress

As you may be aware, Dalbeattie High School is scheduled for a complete new school to be built on the existing site. This page will keep you up to date as to the progress and key decisions made regarding the planning and building of the school.

It is also hoped to be able to publish possible designs of the school as progress toward the construction stage is made.

There are two main options to be considered :

* Option 1 – New build High School only

* Option 2 – Primary Schools with High School on co-located site

o Dalbeattie High School

o Dalbeattie Primary School and/or

o St. Peters RC. Primary School

Report to be taken to the Education Committee in March 2012 with recommendation on the option to proceed with.

New School Survey:

Those who attended the presentation, by the authority on Thursday 16 Feb, had the opportunity to complete a survey on views about the proposed project.
