The 6 June 2011 saw the launch of Dalbeattie High School Rag Bag Recycling week. Students, teacher and the local community are being encouraged to have a spring clean and recycle any unwanted goods by placing them in the bin at the front of the school or alternatively students and school staff can use the new internal bin.  Goods that can be recycled are:

Ÿ
All ladies, men and children’s clothing
Ÿ
Paired shoes (tied together)
Ÿ
Handbags, ties & belts
Ÿ
Soft Toys
Ÿ
Blankets
Ÿ
Underwear to include socks, tights, pants, bras etc
Ÿ
Household textiles to include towels, bed linen and curtains

Bags can be collected from Dalbeattie High School, however, any household plastic bag is equally acceptable. We appreciate your support with our recycling week and as a result it will help others in Africa, Dalbeattie High School, as well as preventing textiles ending up in landfill sites.
