DBT McNish Marshall at Silverstone
Dalbeattie’s Formula Schools team and last year’s champions attended the Raceday finals for this year’s competition, but not as competitors but as marshals. Over the last three years Dalbeattie have won the competition twice and finished second on the other occasion. The team decided after all of their success to use the prize fund from last year to take a year out from competing but still to be involved and to assist the organisers and act as race day marshals. They helped to keep the racers cars running and ensure the safety of the competitors. Unfortunately the weather was not kind to them and they spent most of the day stood out in the pouring rain. Between races they ran under the marquee to dry themselves before returning to the circuit side.
