Sizzling Mediteranean style temperatures of 26-28 degrees faced the Dalbeattie High School Bronze Duke of Edinburgh's Award participants recently when they completed their practice expedition in Mabie Forest. The group started from Mabie House Hotel on Saturday 22nd walking through the forest via Loch Arthur to the campsite at Kinharvie Home Farm then round the back of Criffel on the Sunday to finish near Southwick bridge. Well done to the very hot group for completing the expedition in unusually high temperatures and for consuming over 30 litres of water - a record for Dalbeattie High DofE participants.
