UK Maths Challenge
Dalbeattie High School has yet again done very well in the UK Mathematics trust Challenge. The pupils pictured have won Gold, Silver or Bronze awards in the competition that is open to Junior and Senior pupils from across the UK. This year’s problem solving competition attracted 240 000 entries.
The Best in School prize was awarded to Thomas Kellett, a great achievement for an S1 pupil. Brother Ed was a winner in the senior competition.
The school community recognises the hard work that needs to be done by pupils in order to achieve this standard. The staff and in particular the maths department would like to congratulate all of the pupils involved for the efforts they have made this year.
