The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe
This year’s school production is the well-
The story tells of four children, brothers and sisters, who are magically transported to the magical world of Narnia. A place where trees can talk, fauns and dwarfs can be found in the forests and a wicked queen rules the animals with her evil wand, making it always a terrifying winter. Befriended – and betrayed – the children come to meet the mighty lion Aslan and join the battle against the forces of evil . . .
The play was chosen partly because we thought it would have enough parts for the growing number of students who want to be involved but turn out has been so high that we’re struggling to fit everyone on the stage! We’re delighted that over 70 students came along to auditions and first rehearsals for this year’s show and they have been working hard the watchful eye of Miss Cole of the Drama Department. Particularly satisfying is seeing the development amongst many of the young people who have performed several times before in school shows, at Birchvale Theatre or Lochside or who have taken SQA Drama qualifications over the past two years. But then again, the eagerness of our new S1 students is also a real pleasure to witness.

We look forward to welcoming you to the High School on the evening of Wednesday 14th, Thursday 15th or Friday 16th November for a magical journey to a far off place and time.
Tickets available at the door. Curtain up at 7.30pm. Long live the Kings and Queens of Narnia!
