Parent Council

Now into our second year, the Parent Council is a combination of what used to be the School Board and PTA, so is very interesting and there are lots in which

to get involved.

Presently, we are a group of 12 -15 parents, carers and others involved in the lives of young people at Dalbeattie High School. We meet twice each term and some of us also participate in sub groups e.g. social and fundraising, international links, reviewing the mobile phone policy.

At our last meeting, as well as the ongoing discussions, we had a very interesting presentation on curriculum for excellence, and next time we will be finding out more about pupil support within the school.
