Guidelines on school dress were prepared in 2007/2008 following consultations with pupils, parents/ carers and staff.
School Dress code
• A plain, collared white shirt/blouse or polo shirt
• A plain, black sweatshirt, jumper or cardigan – preferably
embroidered with the school logo
• Plain, black trousers or skirt suitable to a formal workplace
• A plain, black belt may be worn
• Plain socks/tights – flesh, white, black or grey
• Footwear that is sensible
• Limited jewellery, which is deemed to be safe during
participation in lessons
• Limited make-up
• S6 are permitted to wear a plain collared black shirt/blouse or
polo shirt as an alternative to the white shirt.
